Hearts & Homes Family Resource Center
The mission of Hearts and Homes is to provide critical support services to Southwest Montana families who currently have children in foster, kinship, or dual custody care by providing programs and training that aim to preserve and strengthen family ties.
NOTICE: We are no longer offering family visitation services. Please call our 24/7 line at 406-586-3333 for support and referrals to other visitation services.
PARENTING THROUGH DIVORCE WORKSHOP
We provide a 2 ½ hour educational workshop for parents who are experiencing divorce or separation. Research in the field is very clear that children do much better when their parents participate in educational programs which are designed to ease families through the transition of divorce. The curriculum stresses the importance of the child’s experience of separation and divorce as well as provides educational skills necessary for co-parenting. It is drawn from the Kids’ Turn Program®.
This training is offered via Zoom from the comfort of your home.
IMPORTANT: Divorcing and separating parents may NOT both attend the same workshop.
The workshops are facilitated by experienced mental health practitioners and teachers who have expertise working with families. Workshops are held once or twice a month via Zoom. Participants who complete the workshop are provided with an attendance certificate which is accepted by the courts
Parents are referred by courts, attorneys, counselors, and human service providers. We also welcome anyone who believes they could benefit from the workshops.
Program fees are based on a sliding scale and must be made before the session.
