Bruce Copeland
BOARD MEMBER
Dr. Bruce Copeland has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Vermont and a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center. He practiced as a forensic and child psychologist in the Washington D.C. area until his retirement in Bozeman in 2007. Dr. Copeland had clinical appointments at the Children’s Hospital National Medical Center and the George Washington School of Medicine. He presented and published widely with a focus on training to judicial groups and bar associations, a variety of mental health audiences as well as the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. He was very involved in the American Psychological Association (APA) and served as the Secretary-Treasurer for the Association for the Advancement of Psychology (AAP), a representative to the Joint Commission on Inter-Professional Affairs (JCIA) and as a 3 year member of the Ad Hoc Committee on Legal Issues for the APA. Bruce is married and has two children and two grandchildren. He enjoys gardening, fly fishing, travel, golf, hiking and cross-country skiing. He is serving a second term on the Help Center board and is a member of the Finance Committee.
